As a Back of House Manager at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, we expect from you:
Lead and manage the Back of House team, ensuring high productivity, excellent performance, and compliance with hotel standards.
Oversee the cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of all Back of House areas, ensuring full compliance with health, safety, food hygiene, and HACCP standards.
Manage staffing operations, including rota planning, team training, inductions, and performance management to maintain an engaged and high-performing team.
Coordinate with operational departments, including Kitchen, Banqueting, and Engineering, to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and timely resolution of maintenance and equipment requirements.
Manage Back of House resources and budgets, including stock control, purchase orders, equipment management, and contractor relationships to support efficient operations.
As a Back of House Manager, you will be working on a rotating shift basis, Monday to Sunday, 39 hours a week. Shift patterns will vary from morning and evening shifts (including weekends and bank holidays), so flexibility is required where applicable.
To be a successful Back of House Manager candidate, you must have a collaborative attitude, excellent communication skills and previous experience supervising others in a similar 5-star luxury environment.
