Yuill & Dodds Ltd is a family run business based in Hamilton, established in 1952. Due to a new opening, we are now seeking an initiative-taking individual to join our business as an Accounts Assistant .
Monday - Friday 9am-5.30pm plus overtime as required by the business needs.
The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for (but not limited to):
· Process all invoices correctly, matched to Purchase orders and Goods Received Notes and ensuring all documentation is complete including quantities and pricing. 'Filestream' experience essential for uploading invoices.
· Ensure all expected credit notes are received and processed.
· Consult with suppliers to resolve any invoice disputes.
· Manage allocation of fuel fobs and cards and fuel reports for vehicles
· Ensure Road tax is purchased monthly for vehicles.
· Processing staff expenses
· Managing petty cash
· Preparing weekly payroll and timesheets for agency staff for payroll for management
· Sales ledger experience in raising invoices and processing PODs, including credit control.
· Assisting with VAT accounting, ensuring that the appropriate VAT codes are applied to financial transactions.
· Support transport with processing of drivers paperwork , invoicing and calculating wages
· Producing monthly timesheets for month end recharges and invoice these
· Assisting the Finance department with ad hoc projects and the deployment of system enhancements.

· Relevant experience in this or a similar role is preferred.
· Experience with SAGE purchase ledger, sales ledger management and payroll essential.
· Ability to understand, question, organise and challenge a range of financial data.
· Ability to present ideas and information, tailored for each audience.
· Excellent organisational and administrative skills, as well as a keen eye for detail
· Highly organised with diligent and acute attention to detail
· Proven ability to work as part of a small, successful team.
· Strong time management and task management abilities
· Desired skills/qualifications and experience:
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar industry role.
· Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel. SAGE experience is desirable.
