Overview
We are a SME in the building. construction and plumbing sector and we are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Controller / Personal Assistant (PA) to join our team. This pivotal role combines financial management responsibilities with executive support duties, ensuring seamless operations and accurate financial oversight. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and possess a strong background in accounting software and financial processes. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial activities, including overseeing accounts payable processes and maintaining accurate financial records using accounting software such as Sage
- sub contractor invoices/ payments/orders
- CIS returns
- VAT return
- HMRC returns
- Prepare and analyse financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Cashflow analysis and contrcat cost reporting
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to senior management, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Maintain and update financial management systems, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.
- Handle confidential information with integrity while supporting various administrative tasks to keep the office running smoothly.
Experience
- Proven experience in financial management or as a Financial Controller or similar role within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
- Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting.
- Prior experience providing administrative support at an executive level is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of general office software tools and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Pay: £30,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
