You will assess, advise and provide occupational therapy interventions for children and young people with a range of developmental, physical, functional and sensory needs. Support will be delivered through individual appointments, group programmes and multidisciplinary interventions.
Working across community clinics, schools and family settings, you will help children and young people develop skills, increase participation in meaningful activities and achieve greater independence and wellbeing.
You will receive regular clinical supervision, structured training and ongoing professional development opportunities. This role offers a supportive environment in which to build your knowledge, confidence and experience in paediatric occupational therapy while contributing to high-quality care and positive outcomes for children, young people and their families.
As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will:
Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate occupational therapy interventions for children and young people with a range of developmental, physical, functional and sensory needs.
Deliver therapy through individual sessions, group programmes and multidisciplinary interventions in clinics, schools and community settings.
Work collaboratively with children, young people, families, education professionals, and health and social care colleagues to provide coordinated, person-centred support.
Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) assessments and deliver agreed interventions in line with the Children and Families Act 2014.
Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service development, quality improvement and positive service outcomes.
Participate in supervision, training and continuing professional development activities to enhance clinical practice.
Develop effective working relationships within the multidisciplinary team and with partner organisations to support the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
