Job Summary
KDB Services Ltd is a growing construction and maintenance contractor operating throughout the North West. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Groundworker / Flagger to join our team.
The successful candidate will be competent in all aspects of groundwork and external works, capable of working under the direction of a Site Supervisor while using their own initiative to complete tasks safely and to a high standard.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional, family-run company working on a variety of commercial, local authority, education, healthcare and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Site preparation and ground excavation works
- Setting out and preparing sub-bases for paving and flagging
- Installation of paving, kerbs, edgings and external hard landscaping
- Construction of DDA-compliant access ramps and pathways
- Excavation and preparation of foundations
- Concrete slab preparation, reinforcement placement and concrete pouring
- Drainage installation and associated groundwork activities
- Operating excavators and small plant machinery where qualified
- Maintaining safe, clean and organised work areas
- Working closely with Site Supervisors and other trades on site
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and health & safety requirements
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in all aspects of groundwork and flagging
- Good understanding of foundation construction and concrete works
- Experience constructing DDA-compliant access ramps
- Ability to read site drawings and work from instructions
- Ability to work independently and use initiative when required
- Strong understanding of health and safety on construction sites
- Full UK Driving Licence
- CSCS Card
Desirable Qualifications
- CPCS or NPORS Plant Operator Card
- Street Works (NRSWA) qualification
- First Aid at Work
- SSSTS or other site safety qualifications

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: North West England
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years' groundwork experience preferred
