Overview
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal specialising in Residential Conveyancing to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting property transactions, ensuring compliance with legal procedures, and maintaining high standards of client service. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and review of legal documentation related to residential property transactions, including contracts, transfer deeds, and SDLT forms.
- Manage and progress files efficiently, ensuring all deadlines are met in accordance with client and legal requirements.
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction progress.
- Conduct searches such as local authority searches, land registry checks, and environmental reports.
- Draft correspondence and legal notices as required throughout the conveyancing process.
- Organise and maintain accurate case files using Microsoft Office programmes including Word, Excel, Outlook, and specialised case management software.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies at all times.
- Provide administrative support to fee earners, including scheduling appointments and managing diaries effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Paralegal within residential conveyancing or property law.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to liaise professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential; familiarity with case management systems is advantageous.
- Good IT skills with the ability to adapt to new software platforms quickly.
- Demonstrated time management skills ensuring deadlines are consistently met while maintaining accuracy.
- Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus but not essential.
