Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CPCS ADT (Articulated Dump Truck) Operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating articulated dump trucks safely and efficiently on various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, commercial driving experience, and proficiency in operating excavators when necessary. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism in all aspects of their work.
Responsibilities
- Operate articulated dump trucks (ADTs) in accordance with site safety protocols and operational guidelines
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using excavators or other machinery as required
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any faults or issues
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including loads transported and site activities
- Collaborate with site managers and other operatives to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to minimise risks on-site
- Support mechanical maintenance tasks when needed, leveraging mechanical knowledge to identify potential problems early
Experience
- Proven experience operating commercial vehicles, specifically articulated dump trucks (minimum of 2 years preferred)
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery, including excavators and ADTs
- Valid CPCS card or equivalent certification for ADT operation is essential
- Experience working on construction sites with adherence to health and safety standards
- Familiarity with site procedures for loading, unloading, and transporting materials
