We are looking for a Regulatory Delivery Lead to join our Economic Regulation team!
Water and wastewater infrastructure is critical to enabling economic growth, building resilience against the impacts of climate change, protecting our environment and keeping customers’ taps running for years to come. Anglian Water is investing £11 billion over the current 5-year period and – as our region is home to many of the UK’s fastest growing towns and cities – we have much more planned beyond 2030. Now is a great time to join our team and make the case for vital investment in new infrastructure and upgrades to support the transformational growth of our region.
This role will lead the development and delivery of regulation policy to enable major infrastructure investment and drive strategic growth. It’s pivotal in shaping our regulatory framework, influencing policy outcomes, and ensuring that our business is positioned to deliver large-scale infrastructure projects in line with government ambitions and customer needs over the long-term.
You will also support the business to track our delivery of the investment and price control deliverables set out in our final determination. This will involve supporting other teams which lead on Delivery Plan reporting to Ofwat and other regulators. You will ensure that we convey a consistent message on capital delivery progress to our external stakeholders, and support the business to make delivery decisions which align with our broader financial and regulatory strategy.
Develop robust, evidence-based policy advocacy, including economic, environmental, and social impact assessments, specifically focused on major infrastructure and growth
Contribute to the external communication of the business case of major infrastructure and ensuring that our regulatory and government partners hold an effective and favourable understanding of programme maturity, deliverability, forecast cost and schedule
We invest in our people - as a valued employee, you’ll be entitled to:
What does it take to be successful?
Strong written and verbal communication, including ability to distil complex issues into clear, structured, coherent, and persuasive narratives
Inclusion at Anglian Water:
Inclusion is for everyone and we are an equal opportunity employer, which means we’ll consider all suitably qualified applicants regardless of gender identity or expression, ethnic origin, nationality, religion or beliefs, age, sexual orientation, disability status or any other protected characteristic. We recruit and develop our people based on merit and their passion for creating better outcomes, and we’re committed to creating an environment where all our colleagues feel they belong.
