Location: Head Office, with travel across London services
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 per year + car allowance
Bonus: Performance bonus of up to 10%

About Us
Chosen Care Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to lead the operational delivery, quality, compliance and performance of our services across London.
Our services include Extra Care, Complex Care, Learning Disabilities Social Care, and future service developments. This is a senior operational role for someone who is confident leading multiple services and driving high standards across adult social care.
About the Role
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring services are safe, effective, compliant, financially sustainable and continuously improving. You will work closely with the Chief Operations Officer to support strategic objectives, service growth and operational excellence.
This role requires a strong leader who can combine strategic oversight with practical, hands-on operational management.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership across all services.
- Support the COO with strategic objectives, growth plans and service improvement.
- Ensure consistent standards, systems and processes across all service areas.
- Develop, monitor and report on KPIs to drive service performance.
- Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
- Oversee audits, including medication, care planning, safeguarding, health and safety, and financial compliance.
- Prepare services for CQC inspections and Local Authority monitoring visits.
- Oversee incident reporting, complaints, safeguarding and investigations.
- Line manage Care Managers, Scheme Coordinators and senior staff.
- Monitor supervision, appraisals, training and workforce compliance.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, retention and succession planning.
- Manage performance, disciplinary and grievance matters in line with company policy and UK employment law.
- Oversee operational budgets, cost control, invoicing accuracy and contract profitability.
- Ensure safe staffing levels through effective rota management and resource planning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Commissioners, Local Authorities, Housing Providers and external professionals.
- Attend contract review meetings and ensure contractual KPIs are achieved.
- Support service mobilisation, new contract implementation and future business growth.
Requirements
Essential:
- NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
- Significant experience managing multiple adult social care services.
- Strong working knowledge of CQC standards and compliance frameworks.
- Proven leadership experience within adult social care.
- Experience managing budgets and financial performance.
- Good understanding of UK employment law and HR processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting CQC inspections rated Good or Outstanding.
- Experience in service mobilisation and contract negotiation.
- Experience across Extra Care, Learning Disabilities and Complex Care services.
