RKC Special Projects is looking for an experienced Industrial Roofing & Cladding Designer to join our team in Paddock Wood.
This is a great opportunity for a technically minded designer with experience in industrial roofing and cladding across refurbishment and new-build projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Prepare detailed drawings for metal roofing and cladding projects.
· Coordinate elevations, sections, junction details, and setting-out information.
· Review project information to identify requirements, interfaces, and coordination issues.
· Carry out site surveys where required.
· Work with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design matters.
· Support approvals, technical submittals, and RFIs throughout the project lifecycle.
· Ensure designs meet UK regulations, fire safety requirements, project specifications, and company standards.
What We’re Looking For
· Experience in industrial roofing and cladding design across new-build or refurbishment projects.
· Ability to produce detailed shop drawings and technical design information.
· Knowledge of systems, fixing methods, and interface details.
· Competence using CAD software, such as AutoCAD LT.
· Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
