About the role
As a Care Assistant, you'll be at the heart of daily life at The Poplars Care Centre, providing hands-on support that makes a real and visible difference to the people in our care. Every day you'll help residents to live with comfort, dignity and as much independence as possible, building genuine relationships along the way.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities, always promoting dignity, choice and independence
- Contributing to the development and delivery of individual, person-centred care plans
- Communicating warmly and professionally with residents, their families and your colleagues
- Working flexibly to meet the varying needs of residents throughout the day
- Collaborating as part of a close-knit, supportive care team
- Working in line with the home's policies, procedures and care philosophy
What we're looking for
- A genuine passion for making a difference in people's lives
- A warm, patient and empathetic nature
- Good communication skills and a reliable, professional approach
- The ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative
- Previous experience as a Care Assistant is desirable, but absolutely not essential, as we will provide full training and support you in gaining a Diploma in Health and Social Care
