We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Deputy General Manager who thrives on the floor, loves engaging with guests, and brings infectious energy to every shift. If you are a natural people person with proven hospitality experience, local roots, and the ambition to step up into the General Manager role within 6–8 months, this is your direct track to running the show.
Duties
- Own the Floor & Build the Atmosphere: Lead daily operations from the front line—creating an electric, welcoming environment for our guests while keeping service fast and high-energy.
- Fast-Track to General Manager: Work directly alongside the GM to master venue financials, budgeting, labor control, and resource allocation to take full ownership of the venue within 6 to 8 months.
- Lead & Mentor the Team: Supervise, train, and motivate our team members on the floor, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture where people love coming to work.
- Connect with the Community: Act as a key face of Social Sticks in Worcester—building strong relationships with regulars, hosting events, and expanding our local presence.
- Maintain Operational Excellence: Implement venue policies, health & safety standards, and stock control measures to keep the business running smoothly and profitably.
Skills & Experience Required
- Floor-First Leadership: Proven supervisory or assistant management experience in a fast-paced, high-volume hospitality or activity-led venue.
- People Person: Outstanding communication skills with a natural ability to connect with guests, inspire a team, and handle high-volume shifts with confidence.
- Strategic & Operational Mindset: Ability to balance dynamic floor management with sharp business acumen, cost control, and quick problem-solving.
- Fast-Track Ambition: A strong drive for self-development and a clear focus on stepping up to General Manager in 6–8 months.
- Local Advantage: Being based in or near Worcester with a good understanding of the local area and community is strongly preferred.

Pay: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
