We are seeking a motivated Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. Responsibilities
- Assisting dentists during various dental procedures and treatments
- Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilised and ready for use
- Supporting patients by providing reassurance and explaining procedures in a clear manner
- Maintaining accurate patient records and updating files as required
- Adhering to infection control protocols and health & safety regulations
- Managing appointment scheduling and patient correspondence using IT systems
- Ensuring the clinical environment remains clean, organised, and welcoming at all times
- Learning about dental procedures, instruments, and best practices through on-the-job training
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of patient care principles and a genuine interest in healthcare
- Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
- Previous experience or background in nursing or healthcare is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Good IT skills for managing digital records and appointment systems
- Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating professionalism and a caring attitude
