Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Night Bakery Assistant to join our team during the overnight hours. This role involves supporting the bakery's operations by preparing, baking, and ensuring the quality of baked goods in a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within a busy bakery setting, working during night shifts to ensure fresh products are ready for the following day.
Duties
- Assist in preparing ingredients and dough for baking, following established recipes and procedures.
- Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and proofing cabinets safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and storage areas in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Support stock organisation by rotating stock and ensuring ingredients are stored correctly.
- Assist with packaging finished products for delivery or in-store sale.
Experience
- Prior experience in food production, food preparation, or cooking is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is preferred.
- Familiarity with baking techniques and culinary processes will be beneficial.
