Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Construction Site Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Manage and lead a team of subcontractors, labourers, and other personnel, providing clear direction and supervision.
- Monitor progress regularly, adjusting schedules as necessary to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- Oversee health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and suppliers to facilitate smooth communication and resolve any issues promptly.
- Utilise Primavera P6 or similar project management software to develop schedules, track progress, and report on project status.
- Control site resources effectively, including materials, equipment, and labour force.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all method of work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.
- Prepare detailed reports on project progress, risks, and issues for senior management.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a track record of supervising large-scale projects.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 or equivalent project scheduling software is essential.
- Demonstrable supervising experience in a construction environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Construction Management or Civil Engineering are preferred .
