Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of sheet metal and mechanical principles. This role involves working on various piping projects, ensuring precision and quality in every weld and assembly. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on pipes and sheet metal components, adhering to technical specifications and safety standards
- Fabricate pipe sections and assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate fabrication
- Use basic math skills to measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision
- Assist in the assembly of piping systems, ensuring proper fit and alignment
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, following health and safety regulations at all times
- Conduct quality checks on welds and fabricated components to meet project standards
- Operate various mechanical tools safely and efficiently during fabrication processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in MIG welding, particularly <LOCATION> welding techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment used in fabrication work
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes involving sheet metal and piping systems
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to pipe fitting, assembly, and system installation
- Ability to read technical drawings and perform basic mathematical calculations for measurements
- Experience with assembly procedures for piping or related structures is desirable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
