Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and driven Paint Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing panels, applying paint, and finishing surfaces to a high standard across various vehicle types. The ideal applicant will have a keen eye for detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during the painting process.
- Protect unpainted surfaces with sheeting, masking tape and paper.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company standards and the job card.
- Perform touch-ups and finish work to a professional appearance.
- Maintain cleanliness of tools and work area throughout the day.
- Assist with minor repairs or surface preparation as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in vehicle refinishing role is required with an industry recognised qualification.
- Experience with power tools including spray guns, polishers, and sanders.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling materials or equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for colour matching and finish quality.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Physical stamina and strength to undertake manual labour over extended periods. This position offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about craftsmanship and quality workmanship in the refinishing trade.
- Must be above 140% efficient.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Pay: Up to £55,000.00 per year
