The Role
We are looking for an Electrically Qualified Production Engineer to join our Howden site. This is primarily a day-based role, supporting the ongoing maintenance and reliability of production equipment.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 2:00pm
- Flexibility is required, including overtime and callout support when needed
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on production equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and control system faults
- Supporting installations and modifications within a production environment
- Planning and prioritising workloads to ensure minimal downtime
- Working closely with production teams to maximise efficiency
- Liaising with suppliers and contractors to resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment across all departments
What We’re Looking For
- A recognised electrical engineering qualification (essential)
- Proven experience in maintenance and engineering activities within a production environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with electrical and control systems
- Ability to prioritise workloads across planned and reactive tasks
- A self-starter with a proactive, ‘can do’ attitude
- Strong team player with good communication skills
