Zenopa are partnered with a global leader in Diagnostics who are seeking a Manufacturing Manager to join their Dartford Site (5x on-site per week).
Job Scope: To manage the day-to-day manufacturing operation, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and in accordance with approved quality and regulatory requirements.The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for execution of the production plan and achievement of operational targets.
Responsibilities:
Production Management:
- Manage daily manufacturing operations.
- Ensure production plans are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Review daily production performance and resolve operational issues.
- Allocate labour and resources to meet demand requirements.
- Escalate risks impacting Safety, Quality, Delivery or Cost.
People Management:
- Lead and develop Manufacturing Technicians and Team Leaders.
- Maintain a visible presence on the manufacturing floor.
- Conduct performance reviews and regular team meetings.
- Manage attendance, disciplinary and performance processes.
- Drive employee engagement and development.
Safety:
- Ensure compliance with site Health & Safety standards.
- Promote a proactive safety culture.
- Conduct workplace inspections and risk assessments.
- Investigate manufacturing-related incidents and implement corrective actions
Quality:
- Ensure adherence to GMP and quality procedures.
- Lead and support investigations, NCs, CAPAs and audit activities.
- Ensure production documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Promote right-first-time manufacturing practices.
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead departmental improvement activities.
- Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for waste reduction and productivity gains.
- Champion 5S and standard work practices.
Resource Management:
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities.
- Coordinate training requirements.
- Ensure flexibility and cross-training within the team.
Performance Management:
- Track and report daily production KPIs.
- Monitor: Output, Efficiency, Scrap, Downtime, Labour utilisation, Schedule attainment
- Implement corrective actions to address performance gaps
