Poms is an independently owned business, currently made up of four restaurants, with plans to continue to slowly expand over the coming years.
Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team on a full time basis. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service, ensuring smooth restaurant operations, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience in restaurant environments is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic team dedicated to providing memorable dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations efficiently
- Take accurate orders and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Ensure health and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Handle guest enquiries professionally, resolving any issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and service stations
- Process orders and payments accurately using the POS system
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Support other team members during busy periods to uphold high standards of service
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with serving procedures, guest services, and upselling strategies will be beneficial
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during peak hours
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with guests effectively

PLEASE NOTE:
We are looking for someone with flexible availability, must be able to work weekends. Must also be available to work Bank Holidays, and other key dates throughout the year. (We are closed on Christmas Day!) We do not open on evenings, so no late nights. In addition to your pay, you will also receive a share of the service charge received each month. You may, from time to time, be asked to help at our other restaurant locations.
Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
