The Role
As Depot Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the depot, ensuring operations are safe, efficient, and commercially successful.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of a busy plant hire depot.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the depot team.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Manage budgets and monitor depot performance against targets.
- Drive sales by supporting and coordinating depot business development activities.
- Ensure plant availability, operational efficiency, and high service standards.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety policies and company procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance, productivity, and profitability.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Depot Manager within the plant hire, tool hire, or equipment hire industry.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and achieving targets.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
