We are looking for a Paralegal to join us who has expertise in Family law.
Responsibilities:
- To assist in providing high-quality legal support to clients on all aspects of Family law, under the supervision of a solicitor or caseworker.
- To carry out legal research and help prepare legal advice that is accurate, clear, and appropriately documented on the case file.
- To support the timely handling of client and third-party communications, ensuring prompt responses and maintaining a professional tone at all times.
- To ensure all work on client files complies with internal procedures, professional conduct rules, and regulatory obligations.
- To assist in drafting legal documents, correspondence, and forms relevant to Family & Immigration law matters, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- To help maintain up-to-date and organised paper and electronic case files.
- To adhere to anti-money laundering procedures, GDPR requirements, SRA regulations, and any other statutory obligations as required.
- To accurately record time spent on tasks and assist in maintaining billing records as directed by supervising fee earners.
- To monitor and diarise key case deadlines and assist the supervisor in ensuring these are met.
- To contribute to building strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and external contacts, in a respectful and supportive manner.
- To treat clients and team members with courtesy, professionalism, and discretion at all times.
- To positively represent and uphold the reputation and image of the firm.
- To undertake general administrative and legal support tasks as required by the supervisor, including filing, scanning, and managing correspondence.
About yourself:
- You will be an experienced (2 years minimum) paralegal on Family law.
- You will have experience in dealing with Family Law cases such as:
1. Divorce, 2. Separation, 3. Child Contact / Child Arrangement, 4. Domestic Violence, 5. All Family-related Financial Matters, 6. Adoption, 7. All Family Court Orders – NMO, OO, PSO, etc.
If you have experience in additional area(s) of Law, it would be beneficial.
