Based in Rackheath near Norwich, Seaglaze Group are a family-owned company that has been established for half a century. We employ over 70 staff across our 3 factories, manufacturing high quality, bespoke products ranging from specialised glass to products for the boat building industry. About the Job
We are looking for a full-time Customer Administrator to support our Customer Division in selling our bespoke range of products to new and existing customers within the marine sector.
You will be one of the first points of contact for customers by telephone and email, so you will need to be confident, professional and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience in a customer administration or sales environment, with a strong focus on customer service, is required.
You will be working in a busy, team-focused environment where responding to leads, enquiries and customer requirements promptly and efficiently is important.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for understanding customers’ requirements and selecting the most appropriate solution from our range of products. Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and processing customer quotations and orders accurately.
- Responding to delivery and order progress enquiries.
- Dealing with after-sales queries and issues.
- Liaising closely with production to ensure orders are manufactured correctly and delivered on time.
- Developing a good understanding of our products to provide customers with accurate and appropriate solutions.
Qualifications / Experience
- At least one year’s experience in administration or customer sales.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, due to the bespoke nature of our products.
- Ability to learn quickly, retain information and work confidently in a technical environment.
- Strong IT skills and confidence in learning bespoke software systems.
- Ability to manage your own workload while working effectively as part of a team.
- A results-driven approach, with a focus on achieving divisional targets.
- Confidence with basic maths, including dimensions, measurements and 2D drawings.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Previous marine industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
Hours and renumeration
This is an office-based role working Monday to Friday. Our core office hours are 8:00am to 5:30pm.
Contracted hours are flexible and open to discussion, from 35 to 42.5 hours per week. Your normal working pattern will be agreed with you before appointment and will then be fixed as your contracted hours.
Some flexibility may be required around trade and retail shows to support preparation for exhibitions.
Salary: £23,660–£30,940 per annum, depending on agreed contracted hours and experience (equivalent to £13.00–£14.00 per hour).
