About the Role
At HWC Motoring Services Ltd, we create membership services, digital tools and motoring experiences designed to make life easier for drivers and automotive enthusiasts across the United Kingdom.
We are looking for a Principal Product Manager who can take ownership of our product strategy and guide the development of customer focused digital services. You will work across technology, operations, marketing and commercial teams to turn business opportunities into practical products that deliver measurable value.
This is a senior individual contributor position with significant influence across the organisation. You will lead major product initiatives, mentor product colleagues and help shape how our membership platforms and services evolve.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy Ownership
Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap and priorities for membership platforms, customer services and partner products.
Product Discovery
Identify customer needs through research, service data, stakeholder interviews and market analysis. Turn findings into clear product opportunities and business cases.
Roadmap Management
Prioritise initiatives based on customer impact, commercial value, operational requirements and technical feasibility.
Cross Functional Leadership
Work closely with software engineers, designers, marketing teams, operations specialists and commercial stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
Delivery Oversight
Guide products from discovery and planning through development, testing, launch and continuous improvement.
Performance Measurement
Define product objectives and key performance indicators. Monitor adoption, customer satisfaction, retention and commercial performance.
Stakeholder Management
Present product recommendations, progress updates and investment proposals to senior stakeholders and external partners.
Product Mentoring
Support Product Managers and Business Analysts by sharing best practices, reviewing product plans and improving product management standards.
Risk and Compliance
Ensure products meet relevant data protection, accessibility, consumer protection and operational requirements.
What We Are Looking ForExperience
At least 7 years of experience in product management, digital services or platform development, including responsibility for complex customer facing products.
Product Leadership
Strong experience defining product strategy, managing roadmaps and leading major initiatives across multiple departments.
Commercial Understanding
Ability to evaluate customer value, revenue potential, operating costs and business risks when making product decisions.
Analytical Skills
Confidence using customer data, product metrics and market research to support prioritisation and decision making.
Communication
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex product decisions clearly to technical and non technical audiences.
Stakeholder Skills
Demonstrated experience influencing senior stakeholders, resolving competing priorities and building support for product investment.
Technical Awareness
A practical understanding of digital platforms, software development processes, application integrations and data driven services.
Mindset
You are commercially aware, customer focused and comfortable making decisions in complex situations. You understand when further research is needed and when a product should move forward.
Pay: £5,783.00-£7,500.00 per month
