Jeff Way Construction are a full-service building and maintenance company. Established in 2014 we specialise in kitchen & bathroom upgrades, external works, planned works & voids for local authorities & housing associations.
The Role
Due to continued growth in South Wales with new long term secured contracts we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial elements of our responsive, planned replacement and void contracts.
The main responsibilities of the role will be;
- Maximising profit and ensure our full contractual entitlement is claimed on each job
- Implementing and monitoring controls on all commercial aspects of our contracts
- Producing performance reports for KPI performance on all contracts
- Processing sub-contractor payments
- Supporting onboarding of directly employed and sub-contract labour
- Monitoring cashflow and achieving payment application & invoicing timescales
- Supporting Commercial team with tendering for new contracts
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: -
- Experience in construction/social housing environment
- Experience working with NHF schedule of rates
- Experience in commercial management
- Experience of using job management software
- An ability to work in an organised and efficient way
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills
- Excellent IT Skills
- Ability to travel throughout South Wales
