Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Working Saturday, Sunday (and Mondays if you require more hours) 6am-11am.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Duties
- Prepare and cook a range of breakfast items, including eggs, pancakes, cereals, and other hot and cold dishes
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations and food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area throughout the shift
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure quality and freshness
- Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or needs to management
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
- Adhere to all hygiene protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Support team members during busy periods to maintain smooth kitchen operations
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques specific to breakfast dishes
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Serving experience is advantageous but not essential; a friendly attitude towards guests is important
