Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home (3 Bed SHB)
Location: Shrewsbury Area
Salary: £55,500 per annum + up to £9,000 bonus scheme
- Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, plus paid overtime and participation in the on-call rota

Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Level 5 desirable or willingness to complete)
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management position within children's residential care

The Home
Our client is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a specialist 3-bed children's residential home supporting young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs, trauma backgrounds and self-harming behaviours.
The home will operate within a therapeutic and child-centred model, providing high-quality care and support to help young people achieve positive outcomes and reach their full potential.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking an experienced, resilient and passionate Registered Manager who can provide strong leadership, maintain high standards of care and create a nurturing environment where children and young people can thrive.
You will:
- Lead the overall management and performance of the home in line with the Statement of Purpose
- Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and all relevant legislation
- Maintain exceptional safeguarding and care standards
- Recruit, develop, supervise and motivate staff teams
- Oversee care planning to meet emotional, educational and therapeutic needs
- Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections, audits and Regulation 44 visits
- Manage staffing levels, rotas and operational resources effectively
- Contribute to financial management and operational decision-making
- Promote trauma-informed and therapeutic practice throughout the service

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' management or supervisory experience within a children's residential care setting
