Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated <PERSON>/stonemason to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing high-quality masonry work, including the installation and repair of stone structures, walls, and façades. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and a strong understanding of various building techniques. Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, and lay bricks, stones, and other materials using hand tools and power tools
- Construct and repair stone structures such as walls, facades, fireplaces, and decorative features
- Mix mortar and other materials to ensure proper adhesion and durability
- Follow technical drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy in all work
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure project requirements are met
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist with carpentry, roofing, or welding tasks as needed for integrated construction projects
Experience
- Proven experience in masonry or stonemasonry is essential
- Cscs card
- Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, hammers, trowels, and levels
- Experience with bricklaying, masonry techniques, and the use of power tools is highly desirable
- Knowledge of carpentry, roofing, or welding will be considered an advantage but is not mandatory
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship and quality assurance
