Grounds Maintenance Operative

£26,500 - £29,000 + overtime
Full time (40 hours minimum)
This is initially a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Avondale Environmental is expanding and looking for Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join our vegetation management team, working across sectors including highways, rail, utilities, construction, and local authorities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Vegetation clearance and grounds maintenance
- Strimming, Brush cutting and planting
- Operating machinery (training provided)
- Equipment and vehicle checks
- Travelling to sites with the team
What We're Looking For
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Positive, reliable attitude
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Flexible for early starts, night work, and occasional weekends
No experience needed – full training provided
Note: This role is subject to a pre-employment medical and drugs & alcohol screening.
