About Us
We provide childcare for up to 40 primary school age children in our breakfast and after school club based at Lunt's Heath Primary School, Widnes.
We are looking for a Play Worker to join our team.
The Role
Working hours for the successful candidates will be:
- Mornings 7:45am to 9:00am
- 3.75 hours per week Tue, Wed & Thu (term time only)
- There may be the possibility of further working hours
Main duties include:
- Preparing refreshments/snacks.
- Preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
- Providing comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from class and delivering them safely to parents or carers.
- Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
- Administering first aid when necessary.
- Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures.
Essential qualities
- Experience of working with 4 to 11 year old children.
- Understanding the requirements of safeguarding and able to work to policy requirements.
- Sufficient understanding and use of English to ensure the well-being of the children.(Para. 3.26 of the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage 2021)
Desirable qualities
- Level 2 Certificate in Playwork or other comparable relevant qualification.
