At [Home Name], we believe that mealtimes are an important part of our residents' day. We're looking for a caring and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our chefs in delivering nutritious meals, excellent hospitality and a high-quality dining experience for our residents and visitors.
Working alongside our two chefs, who work opposite shifts, you'll play a key role in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, supporting meal service, and delivering refreshments throughout the home.

- Previous kitchen, hospitality or catering experience is welcomed but not essential as full training will be provided.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the Chef on duty with food preparation and meal service.
- Prepare and deliver tea trolley services throughout the home.
- Serve hot and cold drinks, snacks and refreshments in line with residents' dietary needs and preferences.
- Assist with the preparation and service of meals, helping to ensure an enjoyable dining experience.
- Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment and maintain excellent standards of cleanliness.
- Complete cleaning schedules and maintain food hygiene records.
- Receive, store and rotate food deliveries safely.
- Support themed events, celebrations and hospitality services within the home.
- Help create a warm and welcoming environment for residents, families and visitors.
- Work collaboratively with the chefs, Home Manager and wider care team to ensure residents receive the best possible service.
