Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse or Trainee Dental Nurse to join our professional dental practice. Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
- Sterilise and maintain dental instruments in accordance with health and safety standards
- Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions and answer any queries they may have
- Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records using IT systems
- Ensure the clinical environment is clean, organised, and compliant with infection control protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, offering reassurance and clear explanations throughout their visit
- Maintain stock levels of dental supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary
Qualifications
- Experience in patient care or nursing is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for trainees
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues
- Basic IT skills for managing patient records and appointment scheduling
- A caring attitude with a genuine interest in supporting patients’ oral health and wellbeing
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced clinical setting
