We are looking for a passionate and driven Children’s Quality Officer to join our Children’s Commissioning, Resource and Performance team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving outcomes for children by supporting and developing high-quality social care and education provision across a wide range of services.
You will work collaboratively with providers, internal teams and strategic partners such as Ofsted and the NHS to ensure services are safe, effective and continuously improving.

About the role
You’ll be central to driving quality assurance and improvement across children’s services.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the development of robust quality assurance systems across commissioned and in-house services
- Monitoring and responding to quality concerns, ensuring timely improvements are implemented
- Building strong partnerships with providers, colleagues and external agencies
- Supporting providers to deliver person-centred, strengths-based services
- Promoting safeguarding and ensuring a proactive approach to preventing harm
- Analysing data and using insights to drive service improvements
- Contributing to transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Sharing learning from reviews, inspections and best practice to enhance service quality
- Maintaining up to date knowledge of regulatory standards and frameworks
About you
We are looking for someone who is motivated to make a difference and committed to improving outcomes for children.
You will bring:

Experience working within or alongside social care and/or education services
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive improvement
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and standards (including Ofsted)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with partners
- Confidence to challenge constructively and influence change
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
