A highly regarded early years setting in Corby is continuing to grow following its expansion. We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic Room Leaders to join the team and help lead a room, managing staff and creating a safe, engaging and nurturing environment where every child is supported to learn, develop and thrive.
Pay and hours:
Key responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the room, leading room staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring room ratios and routines are maintained.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Support children's learning, development and emotional wellbeing through play, routine and positive interaction.
- Observe and record children's progress, managing room assessment tracking and providing clear updates for parents and carers.
- Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating environment while following safeguarding, health and safety and nursery procedures.
- Work closely with senior management, room colleagues and build warm, professional relationships with children and their families.
What we're looking for:
- A Level 3 Early Years or Childcare qualification is required.
- Previous experience working within an early years or nursery setting, ideally in a senior practitioner or room leadership role.
- A caring, reliable and proactive approach, with genuine enthusiasm for leading a team and helping children develop.
- Strong leadership, communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to complete the required training and checks, including paediatric first aid and an enhanced DBS check.
