Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Commissioning Engineer to support the successful implementation and commissioning of engineering projects. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure systems are tested, validated, and optimised according to project specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing commissioning activities across various engineering disciplines
- Support the preparation of detailed test procedures and validation protocols
- Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of systems
- Conduct site inspections and gather data during commissioning phases
- Utilise CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and CAD tools to develop and review technical drawings and layouts
- Assist in managing project documentation, schedules, and reporting requirements
- Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve technical issues promptly
- Contribute to the optimisation of system performance through troubleshooting and analysis
- Support health, safety, and environmental compliance during all phases of commissioning
Skills
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and general CAD principles
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools
- Knowledge of GIS platforms such as ArcGIS for spatial data analysis
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction processes
- Familiarity with civil engineering principles and construction site operations
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to system integration and troubleshooting
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Effective communication skills for liaising with multidisciplinary teams and clients
- Prior experience or understanding of commissioning processes within engineering projects is desirable
