Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated HCPC-registered Psychologist to join our expanding medico-legal panel across Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Clinical Psychologist / Counselling Psychologist / Forensic Psychologist with experience in psychological assessment and report writing to work with a growing medico-legal agency.
The role involves conducting psychological assessments for claimants and preparing CPR-compliant medico-legal reports for solicitors and legal professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed psychological assessments (face-to-face or remotely)
- Assess clients presenting with trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, adjustment disorders, and related symptoms
- Prepare clear, objective, and evidence-based medico-legal reports
- Provide prognosis and treatment recommendations where appropriate
- Respond to amendments, addendums, and Part 35 questions when required
- Maintain professional standards in line with HCPC guidelines
Requirements:
- HCPC registration (essential)
- Doctorate or equivalent qualification in Psychology
- Experience in psychological assessment and report writing
- Medico-legal experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deliver balanced and objective expert opinions
- Professional indemnity insurance (preferred)
