HOURS OF WORK: As and when required covering holidays and absence – 12hrs per shift

We are currently recruiting a Cover Security Officer to join our team at a prestigious location in Darlington. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced security professional who is committed to delivering outstanding service while maintaining a secure and welcoming environment for staff, visitors and contractors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Covering holidays and absences for security personnel.
- Monitoring access and egress to the premises.
- Conducting regular internal and external security patrols.
- Managing visitor and contractor sign-in procedures.
- Responding promptly and effectively to security incidents, alarms and emergencies.
- Maintaining accurate records, incident reports and site documentation.
- Supporting health and safety procedures across the site.
- Delivering exceptional customer service to employees, visitors and stakeholders.
Essential Requirements:
- Valid SIA Security Guarding Licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service focus and professional appearance.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Good IT and report-writing skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.
