Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Worker to join our agricultural team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in farm operations, crop management, and animal care. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily farm activities, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth running of farm operations. Prior experience is not essential, but a keen interest in horticulture and animal husbandry is highly desirable. This position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to develop their skills within a dynamic farming environment.
Duties
- Assisting with irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution across crops
- Supporting crop planting, harvesting, and general horticultural activities
- Caring for farm animals by feeding, cleaning, and monitoring their health
- Using mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform repairs as needed
- Assisting with the utilisation of specialised tools for maintenance tasks
- Ensuring the farm environment remains clean, safe, and organised
Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge of irrigation systems, horticulture, or animal care is advantageous but not mandatory
- Physical fitness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining equipment and facilities
- Willingness to learn new skills related to farm maintenance
