Overview
THIS IS A MONDAY TO FRIDAY POSITION. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance person/Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving machinery, equipment and the buildings across our facilities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong mechanical and electrical background and a knack for fixing things. Our Maintenance person will play a vital part in ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and reliability of all plant equipment as well as providing the general maintenance of our buildings. This is a very varied role ensuring a safe and functional environment for our staff and ensuring our facilities run smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and electrical systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently
- Respond quickly to emergency repairs to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on work performed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Assist in the installation of new equipment or upgrades to existing systems
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to various equipment, our production and retail facilities
Skills
- Solid electrical experience with troubleshooting electrical faults
- Mechanical knowledge including the use of hand tools
- Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution
- Solid understanding of repair techniques
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks
- Strong problem solving skills
- Exceptional time management
- Fluency in English for effective communication within team environments

THERE WILL BE PRACTICAL TESTS AS PART OF THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS TO ENSURE CAPABILITY.
RATE OF PAY IS NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITY
Pay: From £15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
