Hot Dough is a growing local pizza business based in Waltham Cross, passionate about serving high-quality, freshly made pizza to our community. We're proud of our food, our team, and the standards we set — and we're looking for someone who takes the same pride in their craft.
The Role
This is not an entry-level position. We're looking for a skilled, reliable pizza chef who can step into a busy kitchen and deliver consistently excellent food from day one. You'll be preparing and cooking pizzas to a high standard, supporting wider kitchen operations, and helping keep service running smoothly during peak times.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pizzas to Hot Dough's standards, ensuring consistency across every order
- Manage your section efficiently during busy service
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment in line with food hygiene regulations
- Support with prep, stock rotation, and general kitchen duties
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure smooth service and a positive working environment
- Contribute ideas for specials or menu improvements where appropriate
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a pizza chef in a busy kitchen (minimum 1 year)
- Hand-stretched or sourdough experience highly desirable
- Strong all-round kitchen skills and solid understanding of food hygiene
- Level 2 Food Safety certification preferred (training will be provided if you don't already hold it)
- Calm, efficient, and consistent under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and a genuine team player
- Friendly, positive attitude — we're a small team and culture matters
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends (essential)
