The Garage is a thriving business located in Hoyland, Barnsley. We offer repairs and services for customers' cars, buy and sell second-hand cars, and also specialise in second-hand Renault Sport parts. We are looking for a reliable and experienced mechanic to join our small, hardworking team. We take pride in providing honest, high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service, and are looking for someone who shares those values.
Responsibilities
- Take pride in maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised workspace.
- Turns up on time and completes work as promised.
- Follows safe working practices.
- Can handle unusual faults and work independently.
- Able to explain issues and repairs clearly to colleagues or customers
- Thorough inspections and quality workmanship.
- Ability to accurately identify faults rather than simply replacing parts.
- Holds a valid driving licence for road testing or moving vehicles.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience as a vehicle mechanic or technician.
- proven experience in servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
- Experience in working independently and efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Experience using modern diagnostic equipment.
