Exciting opportunities have arisen for Assistant Project Managers where you'll play a vital role in supporting safe, efficient project delivery while developing your expertise across the full project lifecycle.
Working alongside an experienced Project Manager, you’ll help drive performance, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered in line with safety, programme, and quality expectations. This role is ideal for a motivated individual ready to take ownership and progress their career within project delivery.
What you'll be doing:
You will support the planning and delivery of decommissioning projects, ensuring strong coordination, governance, and adherence to safety case requirements. You’ll work closely with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain progress, manage risks, and drive successful outcomes.
- Support project planning, programme development, and ongoing optimisation to respond effectively to change
- Monitor contractor and internal performance across safety, cost, quality, and schedule, implementing corrective actions where required
- Produce and coordinate key project documentation including modification reports, specifications, and project reports
- Facilitate stakeholder communication, resource planning, issue resolution, and smooth project handover
What you'll bring:
You are a proactive and capable project professional with experience in complex engineering or nuclear environments. You bring strong organisational skills, a structured approach, and the confidence to work independently while maintaining a strong focus on safety and delivery performance.
- HND (or equivalent) in Science or Engineering, with demonstrable industry experience
- Experience in delivering construction projects, with knowledge of CDM regulations
- Proven experience within the nuclear sector is desirable, with strong understanding of regulated project environments
- Comprehensive experience in contract management and working with contractor-led delivery
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrates strong initiative and the ability to work independently, effectively managing and progressing work packages or small projects
