Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 3-4 Class Teacher to join our small Christian primary school in a collaborative job share arrangement. Newbold School is currently rated 'Outstanding' and has gained many prestigious quality marks and awards and is a sustainability champion. Outdoor learning is important to us and we run a fantastic Forest School programme. As a Newbold teacher, you will create a positive classroom environment, maintain our excellent pupil behaviour, deliver engaging lessons and communicate seamlessly with colleagues, parents, and students alike.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver stimulating lessons tailored to the Year 3-4 curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards and individual student needs
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and encourages student engagement
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support learning growth
- Collaborate with your job share partner to ensure continuity of instruction and consistency in classroom routines
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding student development, achievements, and areas for improvement
- Implement effective behavior management strategies to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events to enhance teaching practices and contribute to school community
- Lead a subject
Requirements
- Proven experience or strong knowledge of education principles for Year 3-4 students
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior positively and effectively
- Excellent teaching skills to adapt lessons for diverse learning styles and abilities
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, engage parents, and support students' social-emotional development
- A relevant teaching qualification
- Ability to foster a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and academic excellence
