Dental Nurse – Part Time
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and motivated Dental Nurse to join our friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Dental Nurse
We are a busy mixed NHS and Private practice operating across two surgeries:
- WF1 3BY
- WF2 0NL (parking available)
There may also be the opportunity to undertake some reception duties, so previous dental reception experience would be an advantage, although it is not essential.
We use the Dentally practice management system. Previous knowledge of Dentally would be an advantage but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
- Prepare treatment rooms with the appropriate instruments, equipment and materials before each appointment.
- Provide patients with clear pre- and post-operative instructions.
- Maintain high standards of cross-infection control by sterilising instruments and ensuring surgeries are clean, organised and compliant.
- Accurately record patient information using our electronic dental records system.
- Support with administrative duties, including appointment management and patient correspondence when required.
- Assist with reception duties as needed.
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and respond appropriately to any concerns.
- Adhere to all health and safety, safeguarding and infection control policies.
About You
- Previous dental nursing experience is essential.
- GDC registered (or eligible to work as a Dental Nurse in the UK).
- A caring, friendly and professional manner with a strong focus on patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a busy practice.
- Basic IT skills.
- Experience using Dentally and/or working on a dental reception would be advantageous but is not essential, as training will be provided.

Pay: £12.50-£13.50 per hour
