Just ONE is looking for compassionate, positive and people‑focused Youth Support Workers to join our team in Caerphilly, this role is offered on a zero‑hours contract. Hours will vary according to the needs of the children and young people we support. Its a fantastic opportunity to work flexibly with ongoing training while contributing to a safe stable environment for young people.
We work with vulnerable young people aged 16–25, helping them build essential life skills, develop confidence and move towards independent living — always at a pace that feels right for them.
As a Youth Support Worker, you’ll play an important role in each young person’s journey. Your support will be tailored to their individual needs, choices, routines and aspirations. This includes:
- Promoting each young person’s wellbeing and ensuring their home environment is safe and comfortable.
- Encouraging independence by helping them develop everyday living skills in areas they want to grow.
- Building trusting, respectful relationships that empower young people to feel heard and valued.
- Maintaining clear professional boundaries to keep everyone safe.
- Supporting young people to access education, training and employment opportunities, based on their personal goals.
- Recording daily progress in a supportive and strengths‑based way that recognises achievements.

- Flexibility to work days, waking nights, overnights, weekends and at least one sleep‑in per week.
- Ideally, 12 months experience working with young people (personal or volunteer experience counts).
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work towards goals with the young person.
- A Level 3 qualification in children & young people — or willingness to complete one with the company.
- Effective communication and a willingness to travel.
Pay: £13.45 per hour
