We are seeking a passionate and skilled Piano Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piano performance and teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all ages and skill levels. This role involves providing individual lessons and fostering a love for music in each student.
The Role
- Conduct one-on-one and small group piano lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Prepare students for performances, exams, or competitions as required.
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that fosters creativity and self-expression.
- Maintain open communication with students and their families regarding progress and any concerns.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a piano tutor or in a similar educational role is preferred, however we are also keen to speak to pianists starting out on their teaching journey!
- Minimum Grade 8 in Piano.
- Strong proficiency in playing the piano with knowledge of various musical genres.
- Familiarity with music theory and the ability to teach it effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage students effectively.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching music are essential qualities for this role.
