Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and hygienic handling of laundry within our establishment. Duties
- Collect, sort, and load laundry items into washing machines and dryers according to established procedures
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Fold, iron, and organise clean linen and towels for distribution across the premises
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, including cleaning machines and work surfaces
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when stock needs replenishing
- Assist with special laundry requests or urgent tasks as required
- Ensure all laundry is handled in a timely manner to meet operational deadlines
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physically capable of handling repetitive tasks and lifting moderate loads
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including early mornings or late evenings if required
