Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Multi Skilled Tradesman/woman to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills across various trades, enabling them to undertake diverse construction and maintenance projects. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high standards of workmanship across multiple disciplines, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.
You must have your own van with own tools.
A van can be provided on certain days as needed but you must be able to get to Hindley to access vehicle.
Duties
- Perform carpentry tasks including framing, fitting, and finishing work to specifications
- Execute construction painting, including surface preparation and finishing coats
- Conduct basic plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with safety standards
- Undertake basic masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing
- Handle basic electrical tasks within scope of experience
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively across various trades
- Assist in site preparation, clean-up, and organisation to maintain a safe working environment
- Unload materials from delivery wagons
- Work as part of a team.
- Be ok to travel within an hour of Wigan
Requirements
- Proven experience in multiple trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, electrical work
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to construction trades
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues on-site
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting heavy materials and working at heights or in confined spaces
- Valid relevant certifications or licences (where applicable) are preferred but not mandatory
- A commitment to health & safety regulations and best practices on all projects
