Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve food and drinks promptly and efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing honest recommendations
- Ensure all tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset in a timely manner
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and food safety standards
- Assist in setting up dining areas before service and cleaning after closing shifts
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing any concerns or special requests professionally
Experience
- Previous experience in restaurant environments is essential
- Familiarity with serving procedures and food safety regulations is advantageous
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to deliver outstanding guest services with a friendly and approachable demeanour
