Female Care Assistant (Part-Time) – Syston (LE7 2ES)
Location: Syston, Leicester (Ideally applicants living close to LE7 2ES)
Position Type: Part-Time
Working Pattern: 7 days per week
- Morning Call: 1.5 hours
- Evening Call: 1 hour
About the Role
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and sociable Female Care Assistant to support an elderly lady living in Oadby. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building positive relationships and providing compassionate, one-to-one support that promotes wellbeing, dignity, and independence.
The lady enjoys friendly conversation and companionship, so we are seeking someone with a warm and engaging personality who can provide both practical support and meaningful social interaction.
Main Duties
- Providing personal care support where required
- Assisting with morning and evening routines
- Supporting transfers using a hoist (hoist training is essential)
- Preparing meals and drinks
- Prompting or assisting with medication when required
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Encouraging independence and promoting wellbeing
- Ensuring the client feels safe, respected, and comfortable in her own home
- Reporting any concerns or changes in the client's wellbeing appropriately
Person Specification Essential
- Recent valid DBS
- Female carer (genuine occupational requirement)
- Kind, patient, and compassionate nature
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and committed
- Enjoys social interaction and companionship-based support
- Able to work consistently across a 7-day rota
- Right to work in the UK
- Hoist training and experience
Desirable
- Previous experience in domiciliary care or supporting older adults
- Lives locally to LE7 2ES or within a reasonable travelling distance
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle would be beneficial, although not essential depending on proximity
